Recently we have
used our electric core drill for drilling and installation of
1” monitor wells. Traditionally we have only used this
drill for coring concrete but we have adapted our “E”
size casing and core barrels to use with this machine. Head
clearance for this unit is only 5 feet and, in the right soil
conditions, we believe we can drill up to 15 to 20 feet in depth.
Soil samples are taken with a reduced size split spoon and a
70 pound manual hammer. We are capable of installing 1”
monitor wells through the “E” size casing.
